And it’s done! Awaiting its first game of pong!
My sister’s summer project: Washington College beer pong table (and my dad testing it).
Good job, Kristie! See - this is the stuff you should blog about.
Yep, this is my pong table. Not done yet though, still needs a WAC in the middle.
and I haven’t written anything in months! I guess I will start and see if I keep up with it this time!
Regionals is on Saturday! Tomorrow we are going down to Easton to take our last lesson of the week. Let’s hope the extra lessons pay off and I can move onto Zones in at least one of my classes!
Last show of the season - 2nd in Open fences. Next is Regionals on March 28th. I need to get 1st or 2nd there to move on to Zones. Hopefully I have a ride like this there!
I finally rode Chip for the first time in weeks yesterday. At first he had a bit of an attitude but settled in as the ride went on. The cut on his leg still isn’t healed, but hopefully by keeping it clean it will finally go away.
I’m going to ride him again today - my only concern is that now he’s wearing polos 24/7 to keep the cut clean. I have to get him some vet wrap because I don’t want to mess up his tendons with all of this constant wrapping.
For some reason, this just isn’t my year. Almost every single show I’ve been to I feel like I ride my butt off, have a great trip over fences, make my horse look awesome, and have good equitation to boot. But I just don’t seem to get rewarded for it. Maybe it has to do with the fact that most of my draws haven’t been the most…attractive animals. I really hope my luck turns around for regionals, because I definitely need a change in luck to make it past there. I swear if I win one more fourth place ribbon, I’m going to burn them all. Haha, ok, maybe not, but I’m really starting to get frustrated at this point. Oh well, we’ll see what happens at the UDel show on Saturday.
So this is about as much as I’ve done with Chip since January. We were supposed to do two shows - both ended up being snowed out. SIGH… Oh well. Then, when I got him back to school, I wasn’t able to get out to the barn for a little while and they left his shipping wraps on for over a week! His legs were not too happy after that. Once his legs were back to a normal size, he needed to get his back adjusted. And of course, once his back was adjusted, a cut on his leg that looked very superficial was actually a pretty deep wound, so now we are trying to heal that up and keep it from getting infected. Hopefully I will be able to ride him next week because I was really looking forward to bringing him to a tiny schooling show down the road. But we’ll see if he’s even alive by then. =P
…Ok, maybe I only suck at updating my blog. I will fill you in on what’s been going on since the last time I posted!
I really don’t have anything to update about other than my horse shows and such. And those are all over until February.
My horse Chip is doing well, however. I am planning on taking him to his first horse show on January 10th so we’ll see how that goes!
